The squad includes 21 players from the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as Macario and midfielder Lindsey Horan, who joined Lyon on an 18-month loan from Portland Thorns FC on January 27. Andonovski was also selected 2021 NWSL Rookie of the Year and 2021 U.S. Rookie of the Year. During the build-up to the competition, Soccer Young Player of the Year Trinity Rodman worked as a training player. The US squad will assemble in San Diego on February 10 for a five-day training camp before flying north for the tournament opener against the Czech Republic.
