A few of questions frequently asked, and relevant answers

DISA Commitments are August – May for U8-U14 and August – December for U15-U18. Financial obligations to DISA are non-refundable.

Financial: Upon accepting the positions offered on a team, the parents are responsible for the following:

  • All players must pay the $130 player registration fee immediately upon accepting the offer.
  • The Junior Academy Program (u8-u12) Training Fee is $1085 annually and can be paid in full or in 7 monthly installments from August to February.
  • The u13-u14 Program Training Fee is $1215 annually and can be paid in full or in 7 monthly installments from August to February.
  • The u15-u18 Program Training Fee is $750 from August to December.

Team Fees are due at the start of each season, which includes league, referee, and administration costs based on roster size.

Players and their families are responsible for their travel costs.


  • Arrive on time for practice.
  • Attend practice and make-up practice.
  • Attend tournaments and games.
  • Attend skills sessions and goalie training.
  • Practice at home on basic technical skills.

Parent Commitment

  • Parents are asked to support the development of their players by ensuring they attend the training listed above.
  • Parents are asked to represent DISA in a positive manner, to behave correctly on the sidelines, and to set a good example for their players.

Joining a Team

Players interested in joining the DISA Junior Academy Program must be evaluated every year to determine pool placement.

  • All players will be evaluated during the year to support our player development goals.
  • All players must register to be considered for placement.
  • Our coaching staff will actively review players throughout the year and move them accordingly based on player and team development.

Games, Tournaments and Travel

  • Daniel Island Soccer Academy is a South Carolina Youth Soccer member and thus participates in US Soccer National and State League Conferences.
  • DISA Coaching Staff determines tournaments and is shared with their respective teams at the start of each season.
  • Teams aged 13 and up aim to qualify for the State and Regional Cups and be challenged throughout the season by participating in competitive events.
